FROM IDEA TO FINAL SERIES PRODUCT

  1. Define the requirements

  2. Develop ideas and create some concepts

  3. Evaluate your concept in a team and check if all requirements fulfilled

  4. Start detailing one concept

  5. Develop assembly and connection techniques for series manufacturing e.g. heat stacking, US-welding or laser transmission welding for plastic parts and press-fit connection, drilling after soldering, or electromagnetic compatibility for PCBA design 

  6. Do the tolerance calculation including statistics

  7. Start tool design with toolmaker, redefine injection gate and lead through the Moldflow simulation, recheck parting lines, ejection layout, thickness, draft angle analyses for texturing and define the cooling system

  8. Measuring the parts and use a CAQ system to manage measurement reports for each tool optimization loop

  9. Check the quality of series charges with defined special characteristics and prove process capability cpk, ppk, and the machine capability cmk

  10. Use always a PDM Cloud system to check in all your data e.g. 2d and 3d design status (back up, control, team system)

  11. Deliver every time high-quality parts over the whole product or tool lifetime to make the customer happy
